Description: Telephone System (Brunswick, ME)

Date Issued: May 6, 2019

1.
Will we get a confirmation on the exact number of loop start / analog lines that need to be input into the system? Do we need to include in our pricing a PRI card for the system even though there is currently no PRI onsite?

All phones should be digital. This phone system will be a PBX system using analog loop start lines for service.

2.
Are all phones to be digital or should IP phones be quoted? SOW States in section 6, "Avaya Digital Telephones or similar". However, I would assume that IP phone upgrades would be desired to compliment the IP system (easier to manage, program and move stations if needed). If IP Phones are to be used:

* Should we include a 24 port PoE switch. This will allow the phones to stay powered via the UPS in the event of an outage. If individual power supplies are used and there is no generator then the actual phones will power down even though the system is being powered by the backup UPS.

* Will the network that the phones work on need to be completely independent/ we provide router and DHCP server?
All phones should be digital. This phone system will be a PBX system using analog loop start lines for service. We only want the system to be IP capable if we decided to go that direction in the future. Since this is not an IP system no switch will be needed. They should be provided power from the PBX
3.
3) SOW states that all jacks should be tested back to the rack in the IT closet. I assume that this is just the phone jack at each station labeled "V"? Or, do all the other data/network jacks need to be tested as well.
Just the phone jacks will need to be tested.
