About this file

This stocklist document outlines the components and materials required to complete a service life extension program for the Marine Corps' fleet of 145 All Terrain Cranes (ATCs). Key deliverables for the contractor include performing all maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks on each crane; providing all necessary materials and equipment; and developing updated logistics and technical documentation to support the program. The contractor will refurbish the cranes and associated slings, hoses, pumps, and other parts listed in the stocklist. Additionally, the contractor must deliver training packages and maintain parts information to enable provisioning throughout the life of the contract. Completion of the ATC SLEP will restore the cranes to full operational capability and extend their service life.

PREFACE

SCOPE

1. This publication lists all components and accessories for collection-type supply items, such as major combinations, systems, groups, outfits, kits, sets or assortments. The components to be issued with the end item are identified under the heading of “SUPPLY SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITY” and when required, under the heading “COLLATERAL MATERIEL”. End items requiring collateral materiel are governed by whether the end item is an initial or replacement issue. Those items listed under the “USING UNIT

RESPONSIBILITY” heading, are to be requisitioned separately through the supply system, when applicable.

Using Units are also responsible for requisitioning the required publications to support the end item identified by the ID number shown on the cover of the SL-3. The end item will be complete when the total quantity of items shown in the SL-3 are on hand.

LIST OF COMPONENTS

2. This listing comprises the major portion of this publication. The data, arranged in columnar form, present the information needed to identify the item and determine its type of issue.

3. Item Number (Column 1). This column specifies a number assigned to each item as it appears in the list.

Numbers are assigned in sequence and are for reference purposes only.

4. National Stock Number (Column 2). This column furnishes the National Stock Number (NSN) assigned to the item.

5. Item Identification (Column 3). This column provides the official catalogued item name and description listed under the heading of either “SUPPLY SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITY ITEMS”, “COLLATERAL

MATERIEL”, or “USING UNIT RESPONSIBILITY ITEMS”. The common name can be listed in parentheses following the official catalogued item name before the colon. If required, sub-headers can be inserted under the above listed headers for arrangement of components to allow for better inventory. See paragraphs 11, 12, and 13.

6. Unit of Measure (Column 4). This column gives the measurement standard of each item. It may or may not be the same as the unit of issue. For example, the unit of issue of a certain wire is coil but only 4 feet are required for the end item. Therefore, the unit of measure shown will not be used for requisitioning purposes. For the proper unit of issue and other required management data, refer to the applicable Management Data List (MDL) when requisitioning.

7. Quantity Used in Unit (Column 5). This column lists the total quantity of an item, according to the unit of measure, required for full functional operation of the end item.

8. Periodic Inventory (Column 6). This column provides space for recording inventory results in accordance with

MCO 4790.2_, TM 4700-15/1_, and MCO 4400.150_, or as directed by the Unit Commander.

9. Using Unit Remarks (Column 7). This column provides space for remarks pertaining to the data recorded in the Inventory column (Column 6) when an inventory is conducted.

NOTE

(*) If required, add an asterisk with Serial No. to the Using Unit Remarks column to indicate serialized items.

10. Optional Columns (Columns 8 and 9). The Fig Key/Ref Des and Model Number columns are now optional, and shall only be used to specify information as recorded in the LCSP. If a column is needed, it will be added and a special note added stating that the columns are renumbered to allow for the extra column. If the two optional columns are not sufficient, a table can be added before the Technical Data and annotated in Special Notes.

iv

SUPPLY SUPPORT CATEGORIES
