AMS-TACHSTMAutomated Manifest System-Tactical (AMS-TAC) AMS-TAC is an application that uses Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) technologies to facilitate In-transit Visibility/Total Asset Visibility (ITV/TAV) for the receipt and distribution of cargo. AMS-TAC is employed in Distribution Management Offices (DMO) for the processing of freight receipts, freight forwarding, and local freight distribution in garrison or in a deployed or tactical environment. AMS-TAC can generate management reports, perform and compile detailed database searches, edit records, copy files to different formats and automatically backup, archive, and restore data. It can be configured to operate as a stand-alone system or have multiple AMS-TAC units interconnected at a site as a multi-user environment. AMS-TAC provides near real-time capture of cargo movement data through the use of state of the art AIT hardware. This includes 2D barcodes, RFID tags, and Hand Held Terminals (HHTs) to scan and capture incoming freight and manifest data and automatically generates user-specified reports, forms, shipping information, labels, and other receipt and manifest documentation further enhances capability. As an adjunct to these functions, AMS-TAC has the capability to transfer data to the appropriate DoD servers in support of the ITV/TAV mandate.
APESMOSMAutomated Performance Evaluation System (APES) APES provides for periodic reporting, recording, and analysis of the performance and professional character of Marines in the grades of Sergeant through Major General. Its fundamental concepts are accuracy, accountability, simplicity, and consistency of policy and evaluation methods. APES support the centralized selection, promotion, and retention of the most qualified Marines of the Active and Reserve Components of the USMC. APES also aids in the assignment of personnel and supports other related personnel management decisions.
CMOSHSTSCargo Movement Operation System (CMOS) CMOS is the mandated Joint Department of Defense freight management system to standardize the movement of materials, supplies, packages, and personnel during normal operations and wartime contingencies. It interfaces with numerous DOD and civilian agencies systems and is a vital part of the DOD In-Transit Visibility (ITV) initiative for Total Asset Visibility (TAV). CMOS is used daily in 14 garrison locations to conduct critical Marine Corps distribution operations. The Executive Agent (EA) for CMOS is the U.S. Air Force. The Program Management Office (PMO) is located at Maxwell Air Force Base (AFB), Gunter Annex, and Montgomery, Alabama. However, the Marine Corps uses an instance of CMOS that required USMC accreditation for use on the MCEN.
