LIGHT CAPABILITY ROUGH TERRAIN FORKLIFT (LCRTF)
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This Performance Specification (PS) establishes the requirements for the Crew Protection Kit (CPK) for the Light Capability Rough Terrain Forklift (LCRTF).
1.2 Classification. The LCRTF is a rough terrain telehandling forklift powered by a diesel engine with a hydrostatic transmission and is used to transport and load/unload cargo weighing up to 5,000 lb from Department of Defense (DOD) transportation assets and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers. The LCRTF is capable of accepting a “plugandplay” CPK in the form of an interchangeable armored cab providing protection to the operator. This PS establishes the requirements for the CPK.
