About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for the FY 26 TMDE Calibration federal contract opportunity.

The document clarifies three key aspects of the requirement. First, regarding calibration service frequency, the Government requires two calibration services for the complete inventory of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) items. The contractor will calibrate half of the items within 60 days of contract award, with the second calibration of the remaining half occurring six months after the initial calibration, resulting in each item being calibrated once annually rather than twice. Second, the document corrects the period of performance, confirming that the contract includes one base year and three option years (not four as stated in the PWS), with the CLIN structure being accurate and the invalid period of performance information in the PWS to be disregarded. Third, the Q&A addresses shipping logistics, noting that FedEx is the only commercial shipper that delivers to the facility, with all other shipments handled through DMO (Defense Maintenance Operations).

Q&A

QuesƟon: The PWS requires two o -site calibraƟon services, with the iniƟal service beginning within 60 days of award and the second service occurring six months aŌer compleƟon of the iniƟal service. Please confirm whether:

All serialized TMDE items must be calibrated during each service event, resulting in two calibrations per item annually; or

The total inventory should be divided into two staggered service batches, with each item calibrated once annually.

Answer: The only commercial shipper that delivers to the facility is FedEx. Everything else is through DMO.

QuesƟon: SecƟon 1.3 of the PWS states that the period of performance includes one base year and four opƟon years. However, the listed performance periods and corresponding CLINs appear to include the base year and only three opƟon years, ending September 29, 2030. Please confirm whether a fourth opƟon year is intended and, if so, provide the applicable period of performance and CLIN.

Answer: There will be a total of 3 opƟon year for this requirement, the CLIN structure is correct, please disregard the invalid POP informaƟon on the PWS.

ClarificaƟon: The Government requires 2 calibraƟon service for the complete list of items; the contractor will calibrate half of the list 60 days aŌer contract award and the second calibraƟon 6 moths aŌer the iniƟal calibraƟon.
