Questions and Answers
1. "Provide and extend client keyboard, monitor, mouse, and audio to the workstation area" Primarily distance locations questions here. Can we locate all the client recorders in the workstation area?
A) Yes. The workstation area will be approximately no more than 30 feet from camera to workstation in the observation room.
2. "Provide and extend a monitor and audio speaker" Same as the above.
A) The extended monitor/speaker distance will not be more than 80 feet and 100 feet. The monitor is to be placed in the chief's office for monitoring; separate from the workstation area.
3. "System must have the ability to record from two cameras simultaneous and should have the ability to switch between the cameras for primary view" When switching between cameras are we still need to record from the two cameras simultaneously, or are we just providing a view for each camera independently while still recording both cameras?
A) There should be an overview of the room and a direct view of the interviewee. As long as the views are both recorded the ability to switch is negligible; the later statement is correct. A view for each camera but both recording.
4. "Extended monitor and speakers must have the ability to choose rooms to be observed through channels or switching."
Can the recording be controlled from the designated room, or only from the workstation area?
A) The designated room is preferred; however, the workstations are acceptable.
Additionally, the monitoring station in the chief office should have the capability to choose which of the six cameras to view. Or have a multi‐display.
5. Do you have any current system diagrams?
A) No, there are no system diagrams.
