About this file

This is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) for the procurement of seven overhead bridge crane systems by the Department of the Air Force's Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex (OC-ALC) at Tinker Air Force Base. The requirement (M26-109) is being requested by the 76 MXSG and specifies detailed equipment configurations for motorized underhung overhead bridge cranes with integrated hoists and trolleys. The procurement includes: two 1-ton capacity bridge cranes with 53 feet 6 inches overall length and 45-foot span (one with 6 feet left overhang and 2 feet 6 inches right overhang, one with 1 foot 6 inches overhang each end); two 2-ton capacity bridge cranes with matching dimensional configurations; three 2-ton capacity bridge cranes with 53 feet 6 inches overall length; and one 2.5-ton capacity bridge crane system with runway track components. All cranes must operate on existing 4-1/16 inch wide runway rails with 7/8-inch lower flange thickness, feature variable frequency drives with 75 FPM nominal travel speed, dual inverter duty motors (½ HP rated), VFD-controlled hoists, NEMA type 12 enclosures, and HBC-Radiomatic Micron 7 radio remote control systems with 3-motion capabilities, emergency stop buttons, and visual warning lights.

The cranes must comply with ANSI MH27.1 and CMMA specification requirements with a deflection limit of L/600, feature yellow lead-free alkyd enamel paint finishes, and be equipped with rigid track flat cable festooning systems. All hoists include variable frequency drive motors, mechanical load brakes, upper and lower limit switches, audible overload devices, and orange enamel finishes. The vendor must provide interconnect schematics, installation and service manuals, design drawings for pre-production approval, factory testing documentation, proper labeling of rated weight capacities on both sides of cranes, and ensure all running surfaces (rails, wheels, end trucks) use hardened carbon steel. No paint is permitted on rolling surfaces to prevent foreign object debris (FOD). The document includes specifications for additional trackwork components (Louden 24-inch Super Trojan track, universal stop girders, splice assemblies, and flush clamps) and establishes requirements for control box wiring configurations where radio controls operate both bridge and hoist functions through a single control transformer powered by 440/480V 3-phase, 60Hz supply with 115-volt control circuits.
