About this file
This document is a job aid for the CMOP Dallas organization that provides step-by-step instructions for deleting program chips using the BALLUFF DASHBOARD Configuration Tool.
The procedure requires users to log into WSCRAWLS or any workstation with the DASHBOARD program and connect a programmed reader to a chip on a reader write box. Users must configure the BALLUFF DASHBOARD with a 19200 baud rate and select device type BISM-410 before connecting. The chip must be set to NXP ICODE1 tag type with specific parameters: baud rate at 19200, continuous read length at 8 bytes, and delay at 1. After accessing the Read/Write Tab and setting both the continuous read length and read/write length to 8 bytes, users must verify the Tag Read/Write Data box is empty and then click the "Write Tag Data" button to erase the chip. If the chip does not erase using this procedure, users should select "Fill Tag" and repeat the write operation. The deletion is verified by removing the chip and placing it back on the reader—successful deletion is confirmed when the number disappears from the tag data scrolling text field. This document is marked confidential and was revised on September 14, 2021 (Version 001).
