Multiple Award Contract for Modifications (MACM)
ORDER DESCRIPTION
Modification Upgrade of the UH-1N Land Mobile Radio
25 July 2021
1. Background: The subject replacement modification is a validated requirement from 1067
AFGSC 18-067 dated 10 December 2019. The upgrade is based on future supportability of the fielded baseline configuration and will be replaced by a Commercial off the Shelf Motorola Corporation APX-8500 LMR. Additionally, this modification will provide the newly required dual band capability. The modification upgrade will ensure supportability, and a common baseline for training and sustainment.
2. SCOPE:
a. The Contractor shall develop and integrate a permanent modification upgrade by integrating a Motorola APX-8500 Dual Band Radio into 16 UH-1N aircraft, replacing the obsolete Land Mobile Radio XTL-5000. The Contractor shall take every consideration to utilize Group A wiring and Group B antenna hardware.
b. This effort will require the Contractor to perform NRE for integration, development of modification Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO), Technical Data Package (TDP), update to Technical Orders (TO), prototype manufacturing/delivery, Trial Kit Installs (TKI), TO validation/verification, kit proofing, and testing and delivery of Production Kits.
The TCTO shall be developed as an organizational level field repair.
3. Description of Requirement Tasks: This order does not require specific delineation from the baseline SOW Revision A, as written (dated 06 May 2020).
