About this file

This document contains Questions and Answers #2 related to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five for Janitorial Services at the Leesburg Operations Facility. The ITB requests Price Proposals to provide janitorial services and consumable cleaning supplies. A Mandatory Pre-Bid conference and Site Visit will be held on August 14, 2023, and Price Proposals are due no later than August 22, 2023. The contract term and potential renewal options are not specified.

The current contractor is General Building Maintenance, Inc., and FDOT is currently paying $3,860.13 per month for these services. The scope of work in the new ITB appears to be the same as the current contract. FDOT's annual budget for this project is $50,000. The ITB provides details on the square footage of various floor types, such as carpet and strip and wax, but does not specify the required quantities of consumable cleaning supplies. No additional optional services have been identified at this time.
