About this file
This document is a Statement of Minimum Requirements for customized off-axis parabolic (OAP) mirrors dated 18 June 2025. The OAP mirrors are critical components for the Extreme Light Laboratory experiments at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), where ultra-intense lasers create plasma resulting in various radiation energies and intensities. The substrate must be fused silica with a 30mm diameter, parabolic focus at 45 degrees, surface roughness less than 1nm RMS, scratch/dig specification of 20-10, and a polished backside. The coating must be protected gold with an average reflectivity of 97% or greater at a wavelength of 780±40nm and an angle of incidence of 45 degrees.
Equipment will be shipped to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), with the period of performance to be confirmed after receipt of order (ARO). The supplier must provide a two-year warranty covering defects in material and workmanship under normal and proper use in accordance with the equipment user manual. Payment terms require 100% payment after delivery with 30 days net from the date of invoice.
