Summary

This Request for Proposals (RFP #26P-033) issued by the Village Community Development Districts seeks a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive landscape and irrigation maintenance services for designated areas within multiple districts in The Villages, Florida. The scope includes landscape maintenance, turf care, plant and tree maintenance, fertilization, pest and weed control, irrigation system maintenance and repair, and debris removal across three service groups: Group A (Village Community Development District No. 16 and Eastport Community Development District), Group B (Sumter Landing Community Development District and North Sumter County Utility Dependent District), and Group C (Village Center Community Development District and Village Community Development District No. 1). The RFP was issued on October 2, 2026, with proposals due by 3:00 p.m. on October 30, 2026, at the Purchasing Department office located at 3571 Kiessel Road, The Villages, Florida 32163. Respondents must have a minimum of five years of commercial landscape and irrigation maintenance experience, hold Certified Lawn and Ornamental Pest Control Operator certification, and possess Certified Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification. The Contractor's request shall contain substantial proof and justification to support the need for the rate adjustment. The

County may request from the Contractor, and the Contractor shall provide, such further information as may be reasonably necessary in making its determination. The County shall approve or deny the request, in whole or in part, within sixty (60) days of receipt of the request and all other additional information required by the County. Any price redetermination shall be solely based upon the documentation provided and the County reserves the right to rescind any price relief granted should the circumstances change, and prices go down.
