About this file

This document is an Evaluation Score Card for an RFR (Request for Response) issued by the Department of Fire Services for LADDER INSPECTION and TESTING services. The RFR seeks multiple vendors to provide inspection and testing services for ground and aerial ladders at the Department's Bridgewater, Springfield, and Stow Campuses, with all work to be performed in compliance with current NFPA standards. The Evaluation Score Card outlines the eligibility criteria, evaluation criteria, and scoring methodology for assessing bidder responses. Bidders must score at least 40 points out of a total of 103 available to be eligible for a contract award.

The pricing criteria evaluates the cost per ground ladder, cost per aerial ladder, and cost for re-inspection of aerial ladders. Deductions may be applied for any additional charges. The evaluation also considers the bidder's qualifications, references, years in business, number of certified staff, and ability to inspect/test both ground and aerial ladders. A Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) preference of 25% of the total scoring is included. The contract term is not specified.
