About this file

This is a Labor and Material Payment Bond document related to the City of Jackson Community Development Department's competitive sealed bid solicitation for repairs to program-qualified homeowners in Michigan, specifically for a project at 626 N East St involving installation of a new furnace, A/C unit, and water heater. The bond document establishes the financial security requirements and obligations for contractors bidding on this residential repair project. All bidders must maintain Sam.gov registration, possess proper licensing, and obtain required permits prior to project execution. The project is awarded to the qualified lowest bidder meeting all specified requirements and qualifications.

The Labor and Material Payment Bond serves as a guarantee that the contractor will pay all laborers, material suppliers, and other service providers involved in the project execution. This bond protects the homeowner and subcontractors by ensuring payment obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle. The specific bond amount, payment terms, and surety requirements are defined within the bond document to ensure financial accountability and project completion. Contractors must understand their obligations under this bond as a condition of bid submission and project award for this home improvement initiative.
