About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers addendum (LAB-24-OJT-001) for Delaware's On-the-Job Training program administered by the Department of Labor (DOL). The program permits training provider funding with inclusion in the Training Plan, has a maximum participant duration of 26 weeks (correcting a previous typo of 13 weeks), and begins October 1st with funds that must be expended by December 31, 2026.

The program allows employers to find their own candidates or receive assistance from DOL in candidate placement. Payment is structured as a reimbursement system where employers invoice DOL. While the list of current OJT partners is not publicly shared, DOL will reach out to partners privately. For employee retention issues, employers must notify DOL within 5 days for reporting purposes, though DOL does not get involved in employment decisions.
