About this file
This document is an Addendum 2 to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, specifically addressing Building Automation System (BAS) Upgrades for 2019. The addendum provides detailed specifications for upgrades across 12 different facilities, including buildings such as ESC, KAC, KCC, KCTC, KEC, KTC, Maintenance Building, MTC, Oakleigh, PLC, and a ServerStation. The document outlines existing system models, Baja versions, bus information, and the number of devices for each location, with notable variations in controller types and network configurations.
The addendum highlights that the KCTC building is unique in having two Jaces (Java Application Control Environment), and Oakleigh is currently not integrated into the BAS network but will be as the project progresses. The upgrade involves transitioning from various existing models like JCI FX-20, FX-60, and FX-70 to a more standardized system, with a focus on expanding the FX-80 licensing to accommodate an additional 21 controllers in the coming months. The specification table provides a comprehensive overview of the current infrastructure, including communication protocols such as N2, Modbus, BACnet, and Tridium versions, which will inform the scope and approach of the proposed BAS upgrades.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
2019 BAS Upgrades
ADDENDUM 2
This addendum provides more complete information about Mayfield’s field controller count, notice it increased by 21 because we will be adding that many controllers in the next several months so we would like the FX-80 to be licensed to accommodate that. – see the green highlighted cells in the table below. This table is found on the 5th page of the original RFP document.
