About this file

The document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the JPMC Recycling Scrap Metal Regions 1-6 contract opportunity issued by the State of Illinois. The IFB outlines the requirements for vendors to provide dumpsters/containers to collect and remove scrap metal from various state locations within Regions 1-6. The vendor is responsible for providing the dumpsters/containers, while the state is responsible for moving any scrap metal on the ground into the appropriate vendor-provided containers. The Offer to the State and the Contract are the two required documents that must be completed and submitted by the vendor. The IFB does not provide details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient information.

JPMC Recycling Scrap Metal Regions 1-6

1. The Offer to the State and the Contract are two separate required documents. Where are these documents found?

The Contract and the Offer to the State are found within the Invitation for Bid document within BidBuy. The Offer to the State should be completed and submitted by the vendor. The offer to the State is in the IFB document, section 2. The Contract document should also be completed and submitted by the bidder and can be found in the IFB document, section 3.

2. Where is the scrap metal located?

The scrap metal is held within a dumpster/container, to be provided by the vendor. In some cases, there may be scrap metal on the ground, if the dumpster/container is already full. The State is responsible for moving any scrap metal on the ground into the appropriate dumpster/container, provided by the vendor. To do so, the State is responsible, for and may request additional dumpsters/containers, to move scrap metal from the ground to the appropriate, vendor provided dumpster/container. The State may also place the scrap metal located on the ground, into the vendor provided dumpster/container once that container has been emptied by the vendor.
