About this file
This document is a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) for a bridge contract with Advanced Cleanroom Microclean for essential cleanroom cleaning services at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center. The contract is valued at $249,000 and will run from December 30, 2025, to February 28, 2026. The primary purpose is to ensure continuity of cleaning services for cGMP manufacturing facilities and compounding pharmacies, with a critical focus on maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Advanced Cleanroom Microclean, the incumbent contractor, is ISO 9001:2015 certified with 40 years of industry experience and 5 years of work at NIH. The firm-fixed-price bridge contract is being awarded under FAR 6.302-2 due to the urgent need to maintain uninterrupted cleaning services. The contract is a temporary measure to bridge the gap between the current and upcoming contracts, with the intent to conduct a full and open competition for the next contract. The document emphasizes the critical nature of the cleaning services for maintaining regulatory standards and ensuring patient safety in cleanroom facilities.
