About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Jonesville Community Schools District (JCISD) in Michigan for a Public Address (PA) system and bell system installation at the Central Campus facility. The RFP seeks qualified vendors to design, supply, and install a comprehensive PA and bell system that meets the district's communication and notification requirements across multiple buildings. The project encompasses system design, equipment procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of all necessary components including speakers, amplifiers, control panels, and associated infrastructure. Interested bidders were required to submit proposals by the specified deadline, with the district planning to award the contract to the most qualified vendor based on evaluation criteria including technical capability, cost, experience, and proposed timeline. The contract term and any renewal options are contingent upon the final awarded proposal and district approval.

The RFP establishes pricing and payment terms based on the vendor's submitted bid, with costs to be itemized for equipment, labor, materials, and contingencies. The district may have identified specific set-asides or preferences for Michigan-based vendors or minority-owned businesses, though such details are contingent on the final RFP specifications. As the incumbent system status and current PA/bell system condition are relevant to the project scope, vendors were expected to assess existing infrastructure and provide upgrade or replacement recommendations accordingly. Funding for this project derives from the district's capital budget or bond funds, with the total project cost dependent on the scope of work and selected vendor proposal. All bidders must comply with Michigan prevailing wage requirements and applicable state and federal regulations governing school district procurement.
