About this file
This document contains a local work template and related federal contract opportunity. The local work template provides special requirements for work on nuclear powered ships or nuclear support ships, including ensuring contractor personnel receive radiation safety training prior to boarding the vessel. Specifically, the training must cover obeying all radiological control instructions, not entering any posted areas containing radioactive materials, and reporting any encountered unattended radioactive materials or contamination. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of the Navy seeking proposals for alternating current/direct current motor and motor generator set repair and refurbishment services in support of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center. The scope of work involves repair and refurbishment of motors and generator sets.
