About this file
This document contains a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) and related federal contract opportunity solicitation for mechanical thinning services. The QASP establishes standards and acceptance levels for masticated trees, stump heights, mulch depth, soil compaction, and post-treatment repair on the Dixie National Forest Crestline Mastication FY22 Seed Task Order. Key metrics include all pinyon-juniper trees being masticated with less than 10% remaining intact, stump heights no higher than 6 inches, mulch depth not exceeding 6 inches, trenches no deeper than 2 inches, and 90% of treatment slash removed from specified areas. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 1284LM22R0006 for Multiple Award/Multiple Region IDIQ contracts to provide mechanical tree thinning, mastication, hauling, and other fuels treatment services on lands administered by National Forests and National Grasslands within USDA Forest Service Regions One and Four. The contract has a base year and four option year renewals and seeks to furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, and supplies to perform work ordered under task orders.
