About this file
This document is an Appendix A for a state and local contract opportunity issued by the Illinois government to provide labor and materials to remove and treat damaged material in a security building. The scope of work includes removing approximately 1,700 square feet of ceiling, 1,500 square feet of carpet and tile, asbestos vinyl floor, baseboards, non-salvageable tile floor, and drywall. The vendor will also be responsible for applying an antimicrobial agent to the floor and walls to prevent and remove existing mold. The vendor must have appropriate licensing for asbestos removal and adhere to all federal and state guidelines for preparatory work, asbestos removal, mold treatment, and disposal of all material. The vendor will provide a report of the work completed and findings during demolition, and ensure the work area is clear of debris and garbage upon completion.
The contract will require the vendor to coordinate and schedule all work through the Chief Engineer, who will sign off on the work at the completion of the project. Pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, and other salient information are not provided in this document.
