About this file
This document is a question and answer session related to a state contract opportunity for the provision of influenza vaccines. The contract is being issued by the State of Illinois for the Illinois Veterans Home (IVHM) facility. The contract is seeking to procure Fluad and Flucell influenza vaccines in 10-dose packs, to be delivered by the end of September 2021. The vaccines will be used to inoculate the residents and staff of the IVHM facility, which has licensed nursing and pharmacy staff to administer the shots. While the initial solicitation referred to the 2020 vaccine, this will be updated to the 2021 formulation. The contract does not currently include a complete vaccine administration solution, but this could be discussed for future procurements.
Regarding pricing, the document notes that vendors without an active Illinois vendor registration number will need to complete additional registration forms. It also states that the administration of the vaccines will be handled by the IVHM facility staff. No other details are provided on the pricing structure, funding sources, or any potential set-asides for this contract opportunity.

2.
The document is looking to buy: Fluad 2020 Influenza Vaccine 10 doses per pack $ Per Pack and Flucell 2020 Influenza Vaccine 10 doses per pack, shouldn’t that be 2021 vaccine?
This should be 2021 and will be changed with an amendment to the bid solicitation
3.
What does the state intend to do with the vaccine?
The vaccine will be used for residents and staff of our facility.
4.
Could company contract with the state to provide a complete solution for vaccine and administration versus the vaccine only?
This would have to be discussed when a procurement opportunity presents itself in the future regarding this.
5.
One of the documents is a bid buy document and it states in the second paragraph: “If a vendor does not have an active State of Illinois Vendor Registration Number, then the vendor must complete and submit Forms A with their response”, Where do we get Forms A?
This can be handled after the bid comes down.
6.
How will the shots be administered and to what population?
By staff at the facility. The facility has Registered Nurses and a licensed Pharmacist on staff. The shots will be administered to the residents and staff of the facility.
