About this file
This is a Memorandum for Record from the Department of the Air Force, Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex at Tinker Air Force Base, dated 18 August 2026, documenting material specifications for the purchase of structural steel and metal components for installation of a new overhead crane system.
The procurement requires nine distinct steel component types with specified quantities and dimensions: five sticks of 3-1/4"H x 1-5/8"W double-strut channel (10 feet long, galvanized, 12 gauge, ASTM A653 G90); two sticks of L3" x 3" x ¼" angle iron (20 feet long, ASTM A36); fourteen sticks of 14" x 14" x ½" hollow structural sections (20 feet long, ASTM A500 Grade B); three plate steel sections at 1-3/8" thick (120"L x 60"W, ASTM A572 Grade 50); three plate steel sections at 1" thick (120"L x 60"W, ASTM A572 Grade 50); seven plate steel sections at ½" thick (120"L x 60"W, ASTM A572 Grade 50); two C-Channel C7 x 9.8 sections (20 feet long, ASTM A36); twelve wide flange W24 x 84 sections (30 feet long, ASTM A992); and twelve C-Channel C15 x 33.9 sections (30 feet long, ASTM A36). Vendors must provide official manufacturer test certification for each individual piece demonstrating compliance with specified ASTM standards, including itemized, heat-number-matched test reports rather than generic bulk batch certifications. Alternative or lesser grades will not be accepted, and submissions lacking complete piece-by-piece ASTM certification or citing obsolete standards will be deemed non-responsive and immediately disqualified.
