About this file
The document is an Amendment One to Invitation to Bid (ITB) # 40100-13731 issued by the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for Attenuators. The amendment, dated 10/6/25, addresses a specification clarification for product listings, specifically removing the Traffix Scorpion II trailer from the acceptable brands/models for the first line item (1000170688). The Traffix Scorpion trailer, which is a rear axle design, remains an acceptable brand/model for a different line item (1000170689).
The amendment does not introduce any pricing, funding, or contract term modifications. It primarily serves to clarify and refine the technical specifications for the attenuators being solicited, ensuring that the procurement documents accurately reflect the desired product characteristics. The amendment becomes effective immediately upon release, with all other original terms and conditions of the ITB remaining unchanged.

ITB # 40100-13731 – Amendment # One Page 1 of 1
STATE OF TENNESSEE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
INVITATION TO BID # 40100-13731
AMENDMENT # ONE
FOR ATTENUATORS
DATE: 10/6/25
ITB # 40100-13731 IS AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
1. State responses to questions and comments in the table below amend and clarify this ITB.
Any restatement of RFP text in the Question/Comment column shall NOT be construed as a change in the actual wording of the RFP document.
QUESTION / COMMENT STATE RESPONSE
1. Y’all have specified 4 different products, and they each have their own spec. The 1st product you specified on page 1, and the top of page 2 specifies the Valtir SMT Trailer, but has the Traffix Scorpion Trailer/Valtir SMT Trailer list as acceptable products. The Scorpion Trailer has its own spec in the next couple of pages and also doesn’t meet the specifications listed for the Valtir SMT Trailer. Can you please see if the Traffix Scorpion Trailer can be removed as an acceptable product for the SMT spec.
The specification for the first line item 1000170688 should not include the Traffix Scorpion II trailer as an acceptable brand/model. It has been deleted from the spec. The Traffix attenuator is a rear axle design and is listed as an acceptable brand/model on item 1000170689.
2. ITB Amendment Effective Date. The revisions set forth herein shall be effective upon release. All other terms and conditions of this RFP not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect.
