About this file

This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) Amendment # 1 issued by the Tennessee Department of Disability & Aging for East TN Homes Fire Protection Services, with the solicitation number 32901-13720. The amendment, dated 9/30/2025, addresses vendor questions and clarifies bidding details for fire protection services without fundamentally changing the original solicitation.

The amendment provides state responses to three specific vendor inquiries, focusing on trip charge accommodations, unit pricing bases, and materials cost considerations. For trip charges, the state suggests adding expenses to labor charges. Unit prices will be based on each individual item, and the "Materials" line item is intentionally kept broad to cover potential repair materials beyond listed inspections and maintenance. The document explicitly states there are no changes to the original solicitation, serving primarily to provide additional clarity for potential bidders.

# QUESTION / COMMENT STATE RESPONSE

Specifications 5 If we can't charge trips charges and or drive time for each job, how am I supposed to accommodate that expense in the bid?

The program suggests adding to labor charges to adjust for the trip charge.

Event Details 6 Are all these unit prices based on each item? or each jobsite?

The prices will be based on each item.

Event Details 9 “Materials” is a very vague question, as there could potentially be over 50 different materials that we could encounter.

The agency would like to use this as an open item reference to cover materials needed for repairs outside of the listed inspections and maintenance. The limits of Edison would dictate that we would need a line for this, but we understand that it is vague.

2. Summary of Changes

There are no changes to the solicitation.
