About this file
This is a bid form issued by the City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee's Purchasing Department for ITB-27-2026, a water slide tower stair treads replacement project at Sports*Com's Boro Beach facility. The project involves replacing stair treads and platform decking on two water slide towers: the Drop Slide Tower (approximately 10 feet high with 15 stair treads measuring 36" wide x 12" deep) and the Big Slide Tower (approximately 30 feet high with 48 stair treads measuring 52" wide x 12" deep across four platforms). Sealed bids must be submitted electronically via OpenGov no later than February 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. CST, with work to be substantially completed by May 8, 2026. The contract term is 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Site visits may be scheduled by contacting Kyle Goss at kgoss@murfreesborotn.gov, and a preconstruction meeting will be held one week before work begins.
All bid prices must be all-inclusive, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, freight, delivery (F.O.B. destination), and permitting costs. The City of Murfreesboro is exempt from sales tax. Successful bidders must possess a valid Tennessee contractor's license and provide proof of commercial general liability insurance ($1,000,000 minimum), auto liability insurance ($5,000,000 minimum), and workers' compensation insurance ($1,000,000 minimum). For bids exceeding $100,000, bidders must submit bid bonds and furnish performance and payment bonds each at 100% of the contract sum upon award. Materials must meet specifications for nonslip, UV-resistant, chlorine-resistant, and weather-resistant properties with stainless steel (316 grade or equivalent) fasteners. Contractors must provide a minimum one-year workmanship warranty and assign all manufacturer warranties to the City. Liquidated damages are assessed at $200 per calendar day for work not completed by the May 8, 2026 deadline. Bidders must identify any subcontractors in their bid submission. The successful bidder shall be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all specifications and requirements, with pricing effective for six months from the date of bid award. No specific budget range or award value is provided in the solicitation materials, and the City reserves the right to make awards to multiple bidders and adjust quantities based on bid prices and available funding.
