About this file
This document is Amendment Number One for Invitation to Bid (ITB) Number 2526S011, issued by the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) for a federally funded E-1 Aggregate procurement for Dyea Road in Skagway. The amendment addresses three clarifying questions regarding material sources and delivery, specifically noting that no DOT&PF permitted material sites are available in Skagway or Haines, and that potential contractors will need to determine their own aggregate sourcing and delivery methods. The amendment indicates that subcontracting is allowable to help contractors create more cost-effective bids, and that shipping costs and delivery methods must be included in the bid price.
The procurement requires the delivery of aggregate with specific specifications, with bidders responsible for all shipping and delivery costs to the final destination. The contract is federally funded, with bids due by 2:00 PM Alaska Standard Time on July 31, 2025. The Department emphasizes that ownership of materials remains with the contractor until delivery and acceptance, and bidders must include all shipping and freight costs in their bid price. The project has a budget of approximately $900,000, and the final delivery is expected to be completed within seven days after contract award, which is anticipated around August 11, 2025. Bidders must comply with federal contract provisions, Buy American requirements, and possess a valid Alaska business license.

E-1 AGGREGATE DYEA ROAD IN SKAGWAY -FEDERALLY FUNDED
QUESTION:
