About this file

Addendum No. 2 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 25-04 is a document issued by the City of Oviedo, Florida, addressing questions and clarifications for the Round Lake Park Building Renovation project. The addendum provides responses to eight questions from potential bidders, covering topics such as site visits, project scope, engineering requirements, and specific product specifications. The City confirms this is a renovation project, not a new construction, and that contractors will be responsible for any necessary engineering work.

The addendum includes pricing guidance for various project components, with estimated costs of $200 per exterior light fixture and $100 per interior fixture, tile pricing around $8.00 per square foot, and optional epoxy flooring for the restroom area. Specific product lines are specified, including Hydrotek for plumbing fixtures and Lithonia Lighting for LED lighting. The City is seeking the most responsive and responsible bid, and notes that while building plans have not been located, they will continue searching and may provide them to the selected contractor. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on page 44 of the original ITB packet, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

1. Questions: When I saw the notice yesterday regarding two additional site visits, I assumed that was your response. We'll make sure we attend one of those but were also hoping for those plans/drawings of what the current structure is.

Response: The City has yet to locate plans for the building. Any engineering required for the project is the responsibility of the contractor. The City will continue to search for plans and provide as an addendum or provided to the selected contractor.

2. Questions: Can you provide clarity on what is required for a successful bid submission? Specifically, the bid form on Pg. 22 requests pricing, however there are no plans attached to provide an estimate. It is my understanding this is a design build project and we will need to provide you all with engineered drawings. Is that correct?

Response: Yes, the City is looking for pricing for the renovations. If any engineering is required, it will be the responsibility of the contractor.

3. Questions: Can you please confirm the budget?

Response: The City is looking for the most responsive and responsible bid.

4. Questions: Section 3, Scope of Services, references pouring the foundation and framing including roof and trusses, however, these items are not defined within items 1 – 23 of the scope breakdown or SOV. Please confirm if new building construction, structural concrete or roof/truss modifications are being requested. If so, please provide detailed basis of design.

Response: The renovations do not call for new construction.

5. Questions: What is the dollar value range of light fixtures or style the City would like? For budget purposes.

Response: Estimating $200 per fixture for the exterior and $100 per fixture for interior.

6. Questions: What is the price point for the Owner selected tile/epoxy product?

Response: Price point is estimated around $8.00 per SF for tile. The City is asking for the optional pricing for epoxy flooring for restroom area only.

7. Questions: What is the product line for plumbing fixtures and the price point? For budget purposes.

Response: The product line for plumbing fixture is hydrotek.

8. Questions: What type the type of fixtures/product line and price point for the exterior LED lighting?

Response: The product line for LED lighting is Lithonia Lighting

All other areas of ITB 25-04 remain unchanged.
