Addendum #3 to ITB-2026-02 Tree Trimming and Removal Services

This document is Addendum #3 to the City of Milton, Florida's Invitation to Bid (ITB-2026-02) for tree trimming and removal services, consisting of questions and answers clarifying requirements for as-needed tree trimming, pruning, removal, stump grinding, debris hauling, and vegetation management services on City-owned or City-maintained property. The ITB was issued on April 9, 2026, with a questions deadline of April 27, 2026, by 4:00 p.m. CST and sealed bid submission deadline of May 6, 2026, by 2:00 p.m. CST at Milton City Hall. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled. The contract term is three years following award, with options for the City to renew for up to three additional one-year terms at its sole discretion. Evaluation of bids will use estimated quantities based on 25 percent of contractor time allocation.

Key clarifications in this addendum address tree size categories (small: under 3" caliper; medium: 3"-6" caliper; large: greater than 6" caliper), site accessibility definitions (open versus restricted access; good versus poor access based on equipment restrictions and proximity to structures or utilities), and service scope parameters. Stump grinding is always included in whole tree removal pricing unless specifically excluded. Traffic control costs must be fully incorporated into unit prices and hourly rates, with the contractor bearing all responsibility. After-hours services are defined as work performed prior to 7:30 a.m. or after 4:30 p.m. Crane-assisted removals will be discussed between the City and contractor on a case-by-case basis. All submitted pricing must remain fixed for the entire three-year initial contract term, with renewal pricing to be negotiated based on the initial agreement terms. Current contract holder information is available through the City's Public Records Custodian.
