About this file

The document is Addendum No. 1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 11-25 issued by New Smyrna Beach Utilities for a warehouse storage building project. The addendum provides clarifications and specifications for potential bidders, addressing 23 key questions about the project requirements. Critical details include the need for a geotechnical report, materials testing (compaction/density for soil and cylinder testing for concrete), a civil drawing package, and confirmation of project specifications such as a minimum 1:12 roof slope, an open three-sided structure with wall panels, and no electrical requirements for the new canopy. The desired project start is "as soon as possible", with the contractor responsible for various site preparation tasks.

The addendum specifies technical requirements including a red iron finish for canopy structural steel, red oxide primer for rust resistance, no insulation needed for the open structure, and a concrete slab elevation matching existing adjacent surfaces. No office space, restrooms, walk doors, or MEP drawings will be provided. New Smyrna Beach Utilities will handle preparatory site work like tree trimming, pole removal, and gravel stripping. The project involves constructing a warehouse storage building with specific dimensional requirements: bay openings 27 feet wide, building width between 108-115 feet, 35-foot depth, and a minimum bay opening height of 14 feet. The contractor will be responsible for all permits and must comply with the technical specifications outlined in the document.
