The cushion shall be manufactured to specifications equivalent to Vinyl Technology P/N VT-FOAM-0097/A and designed for office use. The finished cushion must measure 17½ ±¼ inches deep, 18½ ±¼ inches wide, and 2 ±¼ inches thick in green color, with one cushion packaged per unit. The cushion insert shall be urethane foam conforming to ASTM D 3453-12, grade 34 or 44, with minimum polymer density of 1.6 lb/ft³ and individual shredded particles not exceeding ½ inch diameter. The cushion cover comprises two cloth types: cotton-polyester blend brushed twill cloth (minimum 35% cotton, 5.8 oz/yd² weight, 50 lbf warp and 40 lbf filling breaking strength) forming the top surface and box edges, and vinyl-coated polyester cloth (16.3 oz/yd² weight, 318.0 lbf warp and 192.0 lbf filling breaking strength) with 1000 denier warp and 500 denier filling yarns forming the reverse side. Both cloths must demonstrate good colorfastness to perspiration per AATCC 15-2013 standards.
The cushion shall feature a rectangular shape with front corners rounded to 1.5 ±0.5 inch radius and back corners to 4 ±0.5 inch radius. Construction requirements include box-edged design with vinyl extruded lipped welting around the entire perimeter, uniform seams with sufficient stitching density to prevent slippage, matching thread color, and no visible raw edges on the exterior. Each cushion cover must be labeled with fiber content per the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act and include a state-compliant label at the back edge displaying the NSN. Products must conform to salient characteristics, producer specifications, and quality assurance practices and be identical to commercial market offerings. Marking and packaging shall comply with GSAM 552.211.73, Federal Standard 123 for domestic civilian delivery, Military Standard 129 for military activities, and ASTM D-3951 for commercial packaging standards, with special requirements for wood packaging material on export shipments.

The warp core yarn of the vinyl coated yarn shall be 1000 denier; the filling core yarn of the vinyl coated yarn shall be 500 deniers.
The cloths shall meet the physical requirements in Table I and shall show good colorfastness to perspiration when tested in accordance with AATCC 15-2013, Colorfastness to Perspiration. Copies of AATCC standards and test methods are available from American Association of Textile Colorists and Chemists, P.O. Box 12215, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709-2215.
