About this file
This is an insurance requirements document for the City of Meriden, Connecticut, related to the B026-51 Lincoln Paving Project at Lincoln Middle School. The consultant must procure and maintain four categories of insurance coverage for the life of the contract: Commercial General Liability Coverage with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, written on an occurrence basis and including premises/operations, products-completed operations, underground/explosion/collapse hazards, contractual liability, and independent contractor coverage; Business Automobile Liability Coverage with $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage on an occurrence basis, covering non-owned automobiles, all owned vehicles, and any scheduled automobiles; Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability Coverage meeting Connecticut statutory requirements with limits of $500,000 per accident, $500,000 disease policy limit, and $500,000 per employee disease; and Professional Liability, Malpractice, or Errors and Omission Coverage with $2,000,000 single limit per claim and $2,000,000 aggregate per policy period, written on either an occurrence or claims-made basis.
All required insurance policies must be maintained throughout the contract term and are designed to protect against liability arising from the consultant's operations, employees, owned and non-owned vehicles, and professional services related to the Lincoln Middle School parking lot reconstruction project, which involves removal and replacement of pavement, curbing, drainage structure tops, pavement markings, and installation of sedimentation control measures.
