About this file

This document is a Virtual Industry Day Q&A session minutes for the James River Maintenance Dredging project, scheduled for November 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The document details the initial requirements for a Task Order 1 (TO1) associated with an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The project involves two primary events: first, earthwork to create capacity for TO1 material, and second, the actual dredging work. A recent site visit revealed that the upper tier spillboxes at Richmond Deepwater Terminal are full of material and require excavation and unplugging of pipe outfalls before dredging inflow operations can commence. The project manager noted that any major rehabilitation beyond these initial tasks will need to be addressed through a separate contract.
