About this file
This is a Special Notice for an Industry Day regarding C-5M Super Galaxy structural honeycomb panels manufacturing opportunities. The 409th Supply Chain Management Squadron at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia is expanding its qualified vendor list to manufacture and deliver critical honeycomb panels for the C-5M Super Galaxy cargo aircraft. The contract strategy covers over 500 National Stock Numbers (NSNs), with most orders being low-volume, high-value procurements typically ranging from 1 to 10 units per order. Initial tooling and set-up costs are covered through a Material Related Set-up CLIN, and no first articles are required.
Interested vendors must demonstrate capability in manufacturing complex, adhesive-bonded structural honeycomb panels with strict facility control for contamination, temperature, and humidity management, expertise in adhesive life tracking, autoclave operations, and bond line surface preparation, and an experienced technical staff capable of interpreting aircraft loft data and delivering 3D models. To qualify for award consideration, contractors must obtain Source Qualification Statement (SQS) approval from the C-5 Engineering Division (AFLCMC/WLSEBA), maintain ISO 9002 or AS9100 (or equivalent) certification, register in the System for Award Management (SAM) and Enhanced Joint Certification Program (EJCP), and achieve Level II Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Program (CMMC) certification. The applicable NAICS code is 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing), FSC is 1560, and classification code is 16 (Aircraft). The Industry Day is scheduled for August 3-4, 2026, at the VECTR Center in Warner Robins, Georgia, and includes briefing presentations, Q&A sessions, and limited one-on-one breakout sessions (12 slots available on a first-come, first-served basis). Pre-registration is required by email to Adam Randall at timothy.randall.4@us.af.mil. This event is for market research purposes only and is not a solicitation for proposals.
