About this file
This document outlines the minimum specifications for an impact printer required by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for a state and local contract opportunity. The printer must meet or exceed the capabilities of the Printronix Line Matrix P8220 Cabinet Printer and be able to print up to six-part forms with varying thicknesses, as well as print on various paper types including green-bar paper, Tyvek, and carbonless forms. The printer must be compatible with Barr Systems Host Communications Suite software running on Windows 8, 10, or Windows Server 2008, 2012, or 2016. The bid must include pricing for shipping FOB Destination to the IDNR office, installation, training for local IDNR staff, and a standard manufacturer warranty. Vendors must submit the make, model, and full specifications of the offered unit, and may be required to submit sample print forms on IDNR stock prior to award.
The pricing must include freight FOB Destination to the IDNR office, and the printer must be new and unused. The IDNR is seeking a vendor to provide this impact printer, and the contract may be awarded to the vendor whose product is determined to be equal to or better than the specified standard, even if it differs in minor design or construction features.
