About this file

This document is a Notice of Imminent Danger issued by the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI), specifically related to a code enforcement action for an unsafe structure. The notice indicates that a specific property (address/parcel not filled in) has been deemed unsafe, with its occupancy prohibited by the city's code official under Section 109.1 for Dangerous Structure or Premises. The property owner is required to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and/or licenses to either demolish or repair the structure.

The notice outlines potential penalties ranging from $1 to $1,000 per violation for each day the violation remains uncorrected, with a warning that a third failed inspection could result in court action. The property owner has 30 days to appeal the violations by submitting a written appeal to the PLI, with appeal forms available on the city's website. Additional consequences may include revocation or suspension of licenses and permits, and potential legal action by the city to obtain compliance. Any actions taken by the city regarding the property will be charged against the real estate and become a lien on the property.
