About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ IHS1525595A, addressing clarifications regarding a leased, turnkey alarm and surveillance system solution for the Ak-Chin facility with monitoring capabilities at Phoenix Indian Medical Center.
The contractor must provide and lease all equipment, software, hardware, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and support services for the entire contract duration. The system comprises two integrated priorities: alarm notification relaying information and alerts from the Ak-Chin site to Phoenix Indian Medical Center, and basic CCTV-style surveillance with viewing and alert capabilities at both locations. The project covers approximately 5,000 square feet and includes one interior camera spanning from the pharmacy viewing area to the main entrance hallway, and two exterior cameras covering the entrance parking lot and staff parking area. The pharmacy is identified as requiring a ready-to-mount camera system. Internet access is available for the alarm panel, which will be controlled and monitored at Phoenix Indian Medical Center with remote viewability from that location. Video retention is specified at 30 days. A panic button is already installed in the reception area. The current security system, approximately 4 years old, consists only of a door-triggered alarm system. Facility drawings and electrical work requirements are pending clarification from the facility manager.

RFQ IHS1525595A – QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Updated 5.11.26
Based on the documents, it appears the solicitation is for a leased, turnkey alarm and surveillance system solution for the facility.
Could you please clarify whether the intent is for the contractor to provide and lease all required equipment, software, hardware, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and support services for the full contract term? Also, is the monitoring requirement limited to security system monitoring only, or should the contractor include broader surveillance system monitoring and support as part of the proposed solution?
Yes, fully leased for all elements of the overall system throughout entirety of the contract duration.
Yes, the requirement is limited-to and based on the two priorities: one, the alarm notification relaying information and alerts from the Ak-Chin site to Phoenix Indian Medical Center; and, two, the system including a basic CCTV-style surveillance that also relays information and alerts and viewing from the Ak-Chin site and Phoenix Indian Medical Center.
1. How many square feet is the project area? ~ 5,000 ft.
2. Can we get drawings of the area. I will reach out to our facility manager and get back to you.
3. Will any electrical work need to be done? I will reach out to our facility manager and get back to you.
4. How old is the current security system? ~ 4 years
5. What type of security system is currently installed? The current system is only an alarm system triggered from the doors.
6. First, will there be internet access for the alarm panel or will we need to provide a cell module? Second, will the camera system include interior and exterior cameras, or only interior? Those would be my only questions at this point.
Yes, there is internet access for the alarm panel. But the actual panel board will be controlled and monitored here at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. The system would just need to be viewable and reviewable from our system here.
One interior camera (from the pharmacy viewing area down to the main entrance – 1 hallway), and two exterior cameras for the entrance parking lot and back lot where the staff will be parking.
7. How long of video retention do you need? 30-60-90 days etc. 30 days.
8. Are there any rooms that must have a camera beside the lobby? I was thinking the pharmacy and not sure about supply room. Only the pharmacy, which I believe, should already have a ready-to-mount camera system.
9. Did you want panic button at all in the reception area? There is already a panic button installed there
