About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ IHS1523647, addressing three key inquiries from potential contractors regarding medical equipment maintenance and service requirements.

The first question addresses technician qualification requirements, requesting clarification on whether the Government would accept alternative qualifications in lieu of OEM-specific technician authorization. The question proposes that technicians trained through documented experience, OEM-aligned procedures, access to OEM-approved parts, and operation under an ISO 13485-certified quality management system would be acceptable provided all services restore devices to OEM specifications. The Government response indicates "No objections if ISO 134585 is held by the company." The second question seeks clarification on preventative maintenance scheduling frequency (monthly, quarterly, or annually), with the Government response specifying "Per manufacturer specifications." The third question identifies discrepancies in equipment model numbers listed in the contract for various medical scopes and surgical instruments. The inquiry provides corrections for seven line items, including Adult Scopes, Peds Scopes, and EGD Scopes, with specific model number corrections (e.g., Line 9 should be CF-HQ190L instead of CF-H0190L). The Government acknowledged agreement with the proposed model number corrections, noting the discrepancies appear to be typographical errors.

RFQ IHS1523647 – Questions and Answers

1. We respectfully request clarification on whether the Government would consider alternative, equivalent qualifications in lieu of OEM-specific technician authorization. Specifically, would the Government consider technicians who are trained and qualified through documented experience, OEM-aligned procedures, access to OEM-approved parts, and operation under an ISO 13485– certified quality management system to be acceptable, provided all services restore devices to OEM specifications? No objections if ISO 134585 is held by the company.

2. I am just trying to get more definite information for the above notice ID, Is the preventative maintenance to be done monthly, quarterly, or annually? Per manufacturer specifications

3.

I agree with those changes regarding the model numbers. Looks like a typo
