About this file
This is an Addendum No. 2 to an Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Division of Procurement and Contracts for general building repair services in Yolo County. The project scope encompasses repair work at the West Sacramento Maintenance Station, including the equipment shop, crew rooms, and administrative office building. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, permits, disposal fees, travel, and incidentals necessary to complete the general building repairs. The addendum clarifies that contractors must submit a proposed work schedule prior to project commencement and coordinate room closures with the Caltrans Contract Manager and Yard Supervisor to phase work as needed. Caltrans will clear rooms of freely movable furniture, chairs, and computers, but contractors must field verify existing conditions such as floor coatings and complete the abatement plan and abatement work through prime contractor coordination with subcontractors.
The project has an estimated engineering cost of $100,000.00. Contractors are responsible for providing temporary restroom facilities for Caltrans employees in accordance with California Department of Industrial Relations Construction Safety Orders Sections 1526-1527. Painting work may be required if contractor damage occurs to existing interiors, if painting is part of the abatement plan, or if necessary to maintain a neat and tidy appearance upon project completion. The addendum represents responses to seven clarifying questions submitted by prospective bidders and establishes expectations for work coordination, existing facility conditions, and facility restoration standards.
