About this file

This is Addendum #2 for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 24/25-23 issued by the City of Sanford's Finance Department and Purchasing Division for the Groveview Pump Station #2 Improvements project. The addendum provides clarifications and answers to bidder questions, maintains the original bid response due date of Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. Local Time, and addresses several key project details. Significant clarifications include allowing the contractor to use the Tremie/Caisson method for wet well construction, with the contractor responsible for final design and engineering specifications, and guidance on handling a gopher tortoise observed during a site visit.

The estimated project value is $950,000, with bid security requirements ranging from 5-10% of the maximum bid price depending on the total project cost. The addendum provides specific instructions on antenna and tower removal, salvage, and replacement, and introduces a new requirement for a pole and light installation on the northwest corner of the new site. The document emphasizes that all alternative construction methods must be signed and sealed by a Florida-registered Professional Engineer, with specific restrictions on modifying structural dimensions and concrete thicknesses. Contractors are advised to carefully review the detailed technical specifications and follow the precise guidelines for bid submission and project implementation.
