About this file

This file is an Employer Certification form for the City of Austin's Wage Theft Ordinance Responsibility Criteria, applicable to all employers submitting offers for city contracts. The certification requires employers to confirm under penalty of perjury that they have not been adjudicated for wage theft related incidents as defined in Austin City Code Chapter 4, sections 4-22-1 (G) and (H) within five years prior to the solicitation posting date or agreement start date. The form applies to the Plasma Cutting and Welding Filter Plates contract, which involves providing annual plasma cutting and welding services for stainless steel filter access plates for Austin Water. All employers awarded a contract with the City must complete the City of Austin Wage Theft Training within 30 days of contract award and register with the Wage Compliance Team to fulfill this requirement.

The certification form requires the authorized representative of the firm to sign and print their name, title, and the city and state where the certification was signed, along with the date of execution. By submitting the certification, firms agree to abide by the items outlined in Section 4-22-5 (B) and Section 4-22-6 (A) of the Austin City Code. The form was revised on September 14, 2023, and questions or additional information regarding the wage theft ordinance can be directed to wagetheft@austintexas.gov.
