About this file

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) price sheet for solicitation IFB 2200 BYS1050 issued by the City of Austin, Texas, for the procurement of Fluorosilicic Acid and related services to support potable water treatment for dental health purposes. The solicitation is structured to allow for both fixed-quantity purchases and as-needed orders determined by the City. Category 1 addresses Liquid Phosphate products, with an estimated annual quantity of 650 tons of Fluorosilicic Acid at a unit price of $100.00 per ton, totaling $65,000.00. Category 2 covers Labor Rates for additional hourly services, estimating 5,000 annual hours at $100.00 per hour for an extended price of $500,000.00. The pricing submittal sheet emphasizes that all prices submitted must be all-inclusive of administrative fees, overhead, per diem, and shipping or transportation costs to the Austin, Texas area, with no separate charges permitted for these items. Offerors are required to provide all necessary tools, labor, travel, and equipment to perform contract services. The City reserves the right to award a single contract based on overall low cost or make multiple awards based on individual line items, categories, or any combination of criteria deemed most advantageous.

Category 3 establishes an additional 10 percent estimated spending allowance for products not specified in Category 1, with offerors required to submit a maximum percentage markup to costs for these additional items. The form provided allows for a 25.00 percent markup, resulting in an extended price of $6,500.00 for this category, bringing the total extended price for Categories 1 through 3 to $565,000.00. The price sheet includes informational-only sections for Category 4, which requests manufacturer names, catalog numbers, and discount or markup percentages for non-specified products, and Category 2 (Non-Specified Services), which requests information on additional related services with associated labor rates or pricing structures. All pricing must remain fixed throughout the contract term, including any renewal periods. Offerors must designate a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with full authority to dispatch personnel and make decisions regarding all services provided under the contract. The procurement specialist for this solicitation is Brenita Wilkison. Delivery is specified as FOB Destination, Prepaid, with common carrier delivery methods (FedEx, UPS) or vendor delivery as acceptable options.
