About this file

This document is a question-and-answer file related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) for Statewide Chef Services Consultant. The IFB is a brand-new funding opportunity, and there is no incumbent vendor currently providing these services. The resulting contract will be for a period of five years, ending on August 31, 2025. The scope of work includes providing chef and nutritional services for juvenile delinquent youth and youthful offenders, with the consultant expected to be in travel status outside their home office region approximately 60% of the time.

Regarding pricing, travel expenses are to be included in the hourly rate, and there will be no additional compensation for overtime. The bidder must bid as an individual, not as a company. Remote services may be provided during the current state of emergency with prior approval. The procurement does not involve sales, and OCFS is seeking one contractor to provide the required services.
