QUESTION 1: In reference to Line item #1-29: What size of wing does the district consider Large?
ANSWER 1 CCPS considers large wings to be 106 servings, three (3) per serving for each 30# case.
QUESTION 2: In reference to Line Item #1-29 & Line Item #1-30: the specification calls for this item to be made from Commodity Code 100103 white/dark chicken, did the district mean made from Commodity Code 100103 white only? Traditional wings are only white meat.
ANSWER 2 Since there is not a commodity code for white meat only, CCPS uses the 100103 white/dark code. Vendors who process large chicken code 100103 may bid on line 26 diced chicken and line 28 pulled chicken.
QUESTION 3 In reference to Line item #1-30: What size of wing does the district consider Small- Med?
ANSWER 3 CCPS considers small to medium chicken wings to be 5 wings per serving, 96 servings per 30# case.
QUESTION 4 In reference to Line Item #1-30: the specification calls for this item to be made from Commodity Code 100103, can you confirm that the approved brand item Gold Creek 6000 is made from 100103 Commodity?
ANSWER 4 No. Vendors have the option to bid on the commercial cost if they are not participating in the USDA commodity processing program for wings.
QUESTION 5 The district has canceled the last 2 previous bids, what factors contributed to the cancellation of these bids?
ANSWER 5 Non-Responsive bid responses.
