About this file
This document contains a federal contract solicitation and related file materials. The solicitation seeks a contractor to disassemble a B-52H aircraft designated as tail number 61-0009 at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. The contractor will transport the fuselage and left wing to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where they will be reassembled as a static mockup at Boeing's new high bay facility for use in developing current and future modifications for B-52 aircraft. Additionally, the contractor will transport the right wing and horizontal stabilizer to either Wichita, Kansas or back to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona. The General Services Administration Federal Acquisition Service Assisted Acquisition Services Region 7 is the contracting agency. The related file materials provide diagrams depicting the location of the 30x30 foot opening that will be removed from the new Oklahoma City facility to allow entry and reassembly of the fuselage and left wing inside the high bay.
