Gabled Aluminum Awning for Baltimore MEPS

Pre-Award Number: PANMCC-25-P-0000 025072

Summary: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, and materials necessary to design, fabricate, deliver, and install a fully functional gabled aluminum awning system at the front of the

Baltimore MEPS building. All services shall be provided in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications set forth upon award. There will be no site visit authorized post award.

• Fixed, gabled-style aluminum awning system

• Dimensions: 18 ft (height) × 32 ft (width) x 40 ft (length); total coverage area

720 sq ft. Relevant Measurements: W -10’, extends out from the building, H-

3.5’, rise at the peak, L-32’ the awing spans across three to four structural bays/windows, Bottom of awning to ground- 7.5’, Length inside bottom sides

(left to right)- 32’, Slope of awning (pitch)- 8.4:12, Bottom of awning lower side to roof connection (peak)- 4’ (See pic below for illustration of measurements)

• Custom-fabricated aluminum structural frame

• Industrial-grade, UV-resistant, waterproof fabric canopy

• Fabric must comply with NFPA 701 flame-retardant standards

• Wind load capacity: minimum rating of 90 mph

• Anchored securely to building structure in compliance with applicable codes

• Includes installation of flashing and weather sealants for full waterproofing

• All materials free of visible defects, corrosion, or damage

• Work must comply with Baltimore Building Code 2021 (based on IBC), OSHA, and local permitting

• Contractor must furnish all tools, equipment, labor, and materials

• Installation includes site preparation, frame assembly, cover attachment, and post-installation cleanup

• Delivery Date: 120 days from contract award

• Location: Baltimore MEPS, 850 Chisholm Ave, Fort Meade, MD 20755

• Hours of Operation: M-F 8:00am – 4:00pm

• Contractor personnel must have basic OSHA safety awareness and use PPE

• Background checks may be required; contractor personnel must comply with

DoD and installation access protocols

• Government will provide site access and assign a representative for coordination

• No government-furnished materials or tools

• Deliverables include final inspection, correction of punch-list items, and submission of as-built drawings and warranty documentation

• Minimum warranty: 5 years on materials, 1 year on workmanship
