Military Division Where to Apply for a DUNS Number
The Office of the Comptroller of the Commonwealth E-update April 9, 2009 reads in part:
“The United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requires all vendors that receive federal grant funds have their DUNS number recorded with and subsequently reported to the granting agency. To meet this requirement the MA-W9 form has been updated and posted on our website to include the field DUNS number. All vendors that receive federal funds through the Commonwealth must submit their DUNS number using the form MA-W9. If a contractor has multiple DUNS numbers, the contractor should provide the primary number listed with the Federal government’s Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov …performance may not begin and payments cannot be issued to a vendor paid with Federal funds unless the DUNS number has been filed with CTR and recorded in the MMARS VCUST Table. Any entity that does not have a DUNS number can apply for one on-line at D&B Dunn & Bradstreet under the D&B D-U-N-S Number Tab or at: Get a D&B D-U-N-S Number”.
