QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS (Round 2) as of 14 Aug
Q1: The Straight Time (line item 232 - 251), applies regardless of the type of shift (day, evening, night or weekend)?
A1: Straight time is the Hourly wage the Contractor pays their employees, and applies to all shifts, the exception here is the Differentials pays, they apply on top of the Hourly wage, for situations such as working through mean hours or after normal working day hours.
The amounts the Government is looking for are the difference between regular straight time and the added differential.
Q2: Regarding the Overtime Differentials, I understood this is the cost on top of and excluding the cost listed as Straight Time applicable during an extension of the Straight Time (in our case a 7.5h shift).
A2: Correct assumption
Q3: Could you clarify what is meant with Minimum Time (line item 272 - 281)?
A3: This usually only pertains to unionized contractors. Minimum time is usually 4 hours, and is the same rate of pay as straight time, in most cases the Government will order commodity work from their contractor, if the commodity work only last for, say an hour, the Government will pay the Contractor the difference (in this case 3 hours minimum time).
