QUESTION AND ANSWER #5-7
FOR
HTC711-12-R-R014
AIR TERMINAL AND GROUND HANDLING SERVICE, ISRAEL
QUESTION #5: Reference PWS Section 1.10.3, page 8, paragraph 1, and PWS Section 3, page
18, Appendix C-2. Stairs are mentioned in PWS Section 1.10.3, but are not listed in Appendix
C-2. Does this mean the contractor has to furnish them, or are stairs available after all?
ANSWER #5: Yes, the contractor is responsible for providing and positioning/depositioning aircrew stairs as well as any stairs required to accomplish passenger services. Aircraft stairs will not be provided as Government-Furnished Equipment, and therefore are not included in
Appendix C-2.
QUESTION #6: Reference PWS Appendix C-2, page 18. Does the Government provide the fuel for equipment (e.g., 25K Loaders), or is the contractor required to cover the cost?
ANSWER #6: No, the Government will not furnish fuel for 25K loaders.
QUESTION #7: Reference PWS Appendix C-2, page 18, 18 th item from the top of the table
Is the Government-furnished Universal Tow Bar specific to certain aircraft or can it be used for all, as its name implies. Do we need more than one on hand?
ANSWER #7: The Government provides 3 tow bars for different aircraft types as follows: C-5 and C-17 towbars are A/C specific, and are not compatible nor authorized for use with any other airframes. The Universal towbar can be used at a minimum with C-130's, F-15's, and some types of Helicopters. The Government will only provide one universal tow bar; historically this has been sufficient.
